WCF Hosts Grant Writing Workshop
The Winona Community Foundation (WCF) will be hosting a free grant seeking workshop session for area non-profits on Wednesday, May 28 at Merchants Bank third floor board room from 3:30pm-4:30pm.
This workshop and information session will focus on WCF’s next competitive community grant cycle which begins June 9. Guidelines and criteria along with common grant seeking questions will be addressed such as what kind of data is needed to support applications, how to include numerous details within specified page limits, how to present information in the most compelling way, as well as how to avoid common proposal weaknesses.
“Whether you are writing your first grant proposal or need a quick refresher, the information that will presented at this session will cover how to make the most out of your letter of inquiry and grant proposal application,” noted WCF Grants Program Coordinator Deb Leaf.
This free presentation is open to anyone who is interesting in, or is already doing grant writing for local non-profits and charitable projects in not only Winona County, but also other communities in the area. For questions, or if you plan to attend so adequate space if provided, please contact WCF at 507-454-6511 or grantwcf@hbci.com.
